Walked back and then walked down the gorge on the main road, which is actually the most interesting part. Did one side trek down an old trail and another down 9 bends tunnel even though not yet officially open after the typhoon damage

hitched down to the visitors center which was very good and spent 2 hours looking around. As soon as I began to hitch a restaurant owner took to Huilien and helped me find the Hostel. (later found there is a backpackers). Walked aroundtown very big and busy
