Summary
|
- Friendly town, but isolated and not much to do. Spent 5 days mostly internet work.
- A video tour of Peshkopia
|
Sun - Walk out of Lura
| - I thought I'd be able to walk and get a furgon and be in Peshkopia by night. I came off the road and talked to a lot of people so it was 8pm before I reached Arass.
- I was lucky to bump into Vladimir at the village cafe and his friend Mr ??? who invited me to stay at his house for the night and laid on a spread of food

| Mon - Arrive in Peshkopia
- Came on the furgon from Aras ..and did some work to help Vladimir ..found a hotel for 700 Lek - went to find museum etc. It's moved, but not opened for another 3 months at least.

View of mountain and Zagrad village.

Wed- Fri
 A villager in Ramdisch
- Work and washing etc. - Damm it seems that the internet café has screwed up my cardreader
|
Sat - To Kukes|
- Yesterday I checked what time the furgon left. They said 8am, but of course it left at 9am. They are fixing the road, now it's 4x4 only. I expected 600Lek, but it was 1000Lek
| Sun - Leave Kukes to Prizren Albania
|
- Kukes is even more quieter and boring than Peshkopia. There is nothing historic cos it a new town built as old Kukes was flooded by a new dam.Suppose I'll head for Prizren and Bosnian next - I kept meeting people from Kukes who live in London
- On Sunday morning I started to leave, but I stopped to spend my Albanian money etc. but by the time I had finished having a coffee it was after 11am and there were no other people waiting to go to Prizren so there were no minibuses ..so I started to hitch-hike - got a ride from the baker then walked 2KM then a collective taxi which was just waved through the border ..so I was neither stamped out of Albania or into Kosovo
