Since I no other ideas of what to do before the humanist meeting in London I decided to go back up to Scunthorpe to visit Mum and Dad and to pick up stuff. I stopped at a few places en route like Berkhampstead (went past Lili permaculture centre, but forgot to stop) When I arrived I found my parents were on holiday in Spain so spent a few days updating the website etc and hitched to London. Very easy in 3 rides In London being a tourist and going to lectures/meetings ... visiting the places around Bloomsbury, Mary Ward Centre ,British Library, British Museum, Steiner House and going to a few lectures/debates. Thursday went to London Friday British Library play Saturday British Library, steiner house Philosophy debate British Museum Sudan Exhibition Sunday SPES meeting (great ideas, but not fashionable the average age was 60+) Monday Experiment Eastman Hampstead humanists (Found out New Acropolis is really a cult with fascist connections ) women are sexier in London, Suddenly in London I see good looking women after not seeing any at all in the rest of the country, Still the only people I get to speak to are men and old people Helped out with some psychology research. In a city where there are so many pointless things at least this kind of work pushing science forward is worthwhile After about 10 days I bought a ticket (from Flight Connections in Croydon)and flew out to Korea. Tuesday British Museum lecture Wednesday Kants Cave - punishment Thursday East End dentists buy ticket, Tower etc raised voices Friday Soames Museum Kensington Museums Saturday Regents park, Camden, RSPCA fair, Imperial War Museum great crimes Against Humanity exhibition also their death counter says that 100 million people have died in wars after 1945, Sunday SPES Humanism meting (bit boring) Cecil Sharpe House open day, BAC plays, sick of anti- Blair rants - see essays Monday wash clothes etc British Museum lecture about Cypriot pottery Taming The Corporations Green party lecture (V disappointing misssed the opportunity for serious debate instead had popularist anti US bandwagon rant) Tuesday UCL shopping, Clare Short lecture Human Rights Watch , (disappointing narrow anti-american bandwagon focus) Wed - Arrived in Korea
