Saturday - Spent all day at the indigenous culture park in Sandiman.
Unlucky
torrential downpours, and no bus so I ended up walking 5Km, couldn't
get a ride. Then got lucky I got a ride from a indigenous jewellery
maker. Very interesting conversation.. what is really traditional and what is made up for the tourists .. dance shows etc
Doh ! It was
pretty good, not too noisy and smokey. I'm fussy to me there was only
1 hour of danceable music in the whole night. Sunday
- I stayed there all night in hope of good music. After the
dance party I got on the 6am train to Chungwa

By 7pm I was in Gaoshung city. Walked around before going to a
techno party. It was a bit of a culture shock everyone spoke
English. I usually only meet old people, but here there were 2 or 3
"girls" in sexy costumes. (a bit young for me and as ever
they were always surrounded by blokes much suaver than me.) I had
forgotten it was Halloween so people would be in costume. Some guys
dressed as ghouls yet an hour earlier I had trimmed by scruffy long
beard !
