- Being in the UK mostly sucked . I already know that for me the UK is a cultural desert.. the normal everyday accessible things like beer, pubs, football, sport and commercialism and consumerism being boring to me and that I have to look for the good things hidden away like non-commercial festivals and intellectual lectures. But since the summer weather was so crap it was not good for travelling to festivals. And the prices mean unless the weather is good enough for camping it's not worth travelling anywhere. The travel was mostly seeing historic places in the cold. So it was mostly stay at home instead of meeting interesting people, but thankfully the good stuff on TV far excedes the quality of other countries.
- London was amazing for the number of free events and lectures, but remains a good place to visit and a souless place to live.
- it got too cold - I had to leave
- I really miss them : The supermarkets and foods and their prices piss on most countries .. likewise tourist information and public libraries.
