Saturday 16th Lincoln

- There was nothing special happening - Went around the Usher gallery, Collection and Drill Hall Saturday Music cabaret. Went for the tour of the 1520 Guildhall, which is the council chamber over the High Street. Of course I was the only visitor, but it was a pretty interesting tour in addition to the building being almost 500 years old They had the official sword King Richard 2nd had presented the town 700 years ago. By the time I had a look around the shops and library it was 4pm.

outdoor Shakespeare - The Illyria Company doing The Merry Wives of Windsor.
Sunday - Cycled 20+ Km to Barton to see it. I didn't like it that much although the 5 actors showed how skillful they are and there were some good additional bits like singing thrown in they failed to bring out the full magic of the text. It is quite a long text so they had to speak very very fast and even then the show lasted 3 hours. They should have edited more out.

- So there was no time to see the Waterside nature parks.

- It was a long ride on the way back.

Sat 23rd - RAF Veterans 40s Concert

- I can't remember what I did during the week, I think it rained a lot. One thing was that suddenly there was all the brambles and all the plums that needed picking.
- The weekend was bank holiday so crap for going anywhere cos of the crowds and I was looking after the cat etc..

- On Saturday I cycled the 12 Km to Barnetby to see a RAF Veterans 40s Concert

Two old timers doing a Flanders and swan routine

- It wasn't great. The village postman was a pretty good compere.

Festivals
- I've been waiting for the summer to come so far it's been too wet to go anywhere.. - The weather for the coming weekend was looking good and I had got a call from the Bunkfest people saying they needed volunteers.. Good weather great festival so I'll go down on Wednesday to Wallingford to help out at the festival

- After that I will sometime go up to the BA Festival of Science at Liverpool, but I checked the program and there aren't that many interesting activities they re all either too boring or too dumbed down.
