- another Iranian film Cafe Setareh. More down trodden Iranian men and exploitative sexist men. Although this time thetown looked more Turkish. There were a couple of nice guys, but one was killed By the border police and the other was jailed for 4 years so his fiancee committed suicide. A caf?owner struggles to survive whilst her drug addict husband steals her money and others to finance his drug habit. She puts-up with this a having no husband would be so shameful. The movie ends on a happy note when the richer older woman gets married after kicking her satellite dish and getting the guy to have a look at it. What would have happened if one of the ugly guys had stalked her ?

- Saturday movie at the Coliseum - The strangest thing about this movie is -it's 20 years old, but looks 40. All the cars on the road are aging minis etc, the only tall building in KL is a new DBKL tower, the people look so 60's like the council boss with a huge afro, the buses are crowded minibuses.

- The 2 main characters are middle aged Mr tooth gap and his buddy Mr young handsome. The have just moved into a simple room, next to 2 girls. In the same compound are Mr dwarf and his big wife. Toothgap has a sweetcorn-stall-bicycle Handsome has a job tells the ladies he has a job in an air-conditioned office, actually he's a lift attendent smooth to girls, but rude to guys.

- Various things/jokes happen. The 2 bad guys with a convertable take the girls to the beach. The 2 heroes tag along, but look like dorks while the bad guys treat the girls to speedboat rides etc.

- At the fashion show Mr dwarf's wife is a surprising star. The bad guys are with the girls. Something happens, but I can't remember what.

- The greedy rich father is dazzled by the car driving guy who is really after the father's money. However the daughter prefers the down to earth P Ramlee the poor bicycle taxi I man.

- The father hits the daughter a couple of times after he catches her with Ramlee. Ramlee is beaten up by the bad guys friends a few times. The penultimate time the almost defeated bad guy reaches for his knife and throws it, but accidentally hits Ramlee's aging mother. Now realising the police will get him Mr bad gets the father to hand over his money at knifepoint. Ramlee turns up fights the bad guy with no help from father who just grabs the money.

- Ramlee wins but is almost dead. Police turn up "yes Mr Bad is a well known criminal", Ramlee comes back to life and the 2 lovers walk off into the sunset.

- Went to see Women's theatre at BSC. Then - Bangsar night market etc see the review on pc412
