On Climate Change solutions - Kyoto, carbon trading etc is a load of rubbish. Even stopping CO2 100% leads to higher temperature change cos the decreased haze would allow in more sun. Instead he praised the Americans for the scheme to make giant space sun reflectors (doh it would be like shading yourself from the sun with a matchstick. He thinks a real solution would be for all aircraft to be required to spray chemical dust to block the sun like volcanic ash.

I think : Like many eccentrics he can be amazingly innovative at some times and then idiotic at others. So you can't trust his opinions all the time

Well it was interesting how the Now Show on Radio 4 tackled the 3 attempted car bombings a few weeks ago : Instead of getting austere and not trying to offend they attacked the issues head on. Marcus Brigstocke's BRILLIANT piece this week. For a long time comedians have mostly avoided religion as we British bend over backwards in attempts not to offend Islamic people, which is frustrating cos it doesn't work the other way. When a crazy ayatollah denies the holocaust or calls for the killing of a writer .. no one aplogizes. But this week Marcus Brigstocke wrote a great piece tackling the issues head on, but without being offensive, speaking I imagine the thoughts of most British people : "Can the rest of us have our planet back ? " was his message to all 3 Abrahamic religions : stop all your shouting, bombing and your wars.
