PC350 Ipoh and Pangkor Island
Ipoh water park - not amazing |
| Monday - The same company Sunway that have a waterpark in KL have a new one in Ipoh called Lost World.. It's closed on Tuesdays so I went on Monday. Disappointment - neat but quite small place. There's only 2 types of 1 minute waterslide and you need to be 2 people, eventually I tagged along with 3 Chinese girls.

| Ipoh was much smaller and pleasant than I expected, OK to walk around, but not great. Historic buildings, river, nightmarket and boring museum. Pangkor Island - like a little Langkawi - |
| Tuesday - to Lumut and Pangkor. Same story as Langkawi - taxis only no buses and set up as beach resorts. Wednesday - cycled around - bit hilly. Thursday - Neil and I Kayaked and coral island snorkel saw coloured fish etc. Actually sea is a bit dirty and atmosphere lacking cos few people. Hiked in jungle - mosquitoes and boring. Fri - bit of a hang around day - no one to play volleyball with. Sat left to KL jouney 5 hours, much longer thannI expected. Thailand beaches places are often a lot better .. Better atmosphere, more energy, cheap beer, smiles
