Monday - I hitched to Palmerston North. (my second driver got fined $312 for speeding) I didn't find much there.
1. Otaki Gorge Road Tuesday - stopped off in Levin which was more interesting. Then to Otaki - stayed with Philipa and Victoria at their retreat place for 3 nights. Weeding, tidying etc. Cycled upto Taurarua Mountains at Otaki Gorge (look on the net and you will find some photos.

2. Williams Farm Then to house of Gary and Emily Williams on their permaculture hobby farm. They have a hooby farm 50Ha which is mostly a steep hillside of regenerating bush (great views) with a flat portion at the bottom for a couple of paddocks. Self sufficiency permaculture stuff a few cows, pigs, sheep, ducks, veggie gardens, weeding, planting, woodland coppicing. Busy lives with organic groups etc.

Feeding animals, making compost, painting, logging. Stayed 12 days. Spent a lot of money at dentists. Went to local theatre etc. View of The Hill View of The House
