-Wed- work then late cos something came up about iframe virus, Khasi food ripped off explored Mawlprem and SW of city- passed a waterfall at the Sonapani Mini-hydro project (derelict, but being rebuilt) - Hindu Ghats - Nepali suburb - Chest Hospital - To Rhino military museum which actually has a lot about Shillong history- further West to Upper Shillong - this city has endless suburbs of bungalows with people queuing for water.

- Thu - woke late - took the road towards Guwahati and found that the Bishop and Beadon Falls are visible from only 600m away from the main road at the junction marked NEHU

- I think I met Rodrigo and some other tourists who were planning to go down to Cherapungee see the root bridges and come back the same day ... Something that took me 4 days ! These younger people travel too fast to take in the culture ... And I knew it would rain.

- Fri - must have been working. Now that it did rain the water came in the bottom of my "dead" boots

- Sat - had to go to buy some new shoes - I would prefer second hand foreign shoes, but you can't buy here. This town has 1000s of new shoe shops. ... Then must have been working.
