| a. Why I don't support charities
- I have always been suspicious of them and my life experience has confirmed this. In Africa I saw the problems of aid money and corruption and that the need is to change the underlying culture so that they save in times of bumper crops and in hard times divide it up fairly.
How can I decide which charity is most deserving, it shouldn't depend on one collector bumps into me or another. No I am happy to pay taxes and for the government with it's superior resources should decide the priorities. Come to think of it it shouldn't be a question of charity , if a baby needs an operation then it has a right to the money it shouldn't depend on the whim of the public, but if something else is more deserving then maybe they should get the money and the baby should die. Ah but I hear you say, you have to give money to charity cos the government is so untrustworthy and unreliable. Well it's up to us to make sure the government does it's job. If I was rich I would still never give money to charity I would simply pass on the requests to government and if the government didn't seem to be doing it's job I might use my money to lobby and motivate it to do the correct thing.
b. Why I Despise England and the UK
Dumbed down, undemocratic, shabby tabloid journalism, over commercial, over consumption and waste, cold, drunk culture, violent council estates, lack of understanding about sexuality
| It's more like Yobland than England ..More c. Sport Why do people do it when they are likely to get badly injured
| Why the emphasis on competions with winners. How stupid is this 20 losers and one winner equals 20 teams unhappy and one ectastic. Is this right ?
People take sport so seriously I prefer non serious games vollyball, backyard cricket, treasure hunt where the fun is in the taking part not in the winning.
And watching sport on TV .. how can that compare to doing it yourself ? |

i. Melbourne Media Cicus -
Interesting but disappointing | It failed to deal with the fundamentals : the media doesn't give us a true picture of the world. Can we do something about it ? What ? Anyway read my notes including an incredible conspiracy story j. FAMILY MONDAY -
I have seen that in many countries e.g. New Zealand there is a continuous cycle of alcohol and violence
| l think you need to break the cycle of drinking everyday - my idea is that First working day of the week has no alcohol or cigarette sales, drug dealers don't sell any stuff and kids agree to lay off playstation and the whole family does something together |
| k. A Westerners Reaction to Food In Korea
I wrote this article to explain to my students how different the culture of Korea is from western culture
and to explain to my ever so kind Korean hosts my reactions to their food. rotten cabbage and rice for breakfast. ...more
l. Organic Farming in Korea
Korea is an ecological disaster area and the culture and way of life could ensure a continual decline, but there is hope if Korea can go back to traditional Bhuddist and Zen thinking of frugal simplicity.... more

| m. Books About Mediums : Doris Stokes and Betty Shine These two frequently spoke to dead people who are not dead but continue living in paradise in another dimension. This leads to a whole list of amazing phenomena. ESP, EVP, OBE objects moving and materialising , miracle cures. What's it all about ?
I conclude the books are quite convincing, but they don't give any proof. So it's all very interesting maybe you don't have to be afraid of death, but I believe it doesn't make any difference all you can do is try to live life as a good person. More Details :Doris Stokes :Voices In My Ear, Betty Shine - My Life As A Medium
Analysis of Anarchism
from The Anarchist Reader by George Woodcock -It is an attractive idea, but it won't work
Full Analysis
| Racism - It's not so simple
When you look at the stats it's obvious this society is racist. White people have all the best jobs ,the average white salary is higher. But I hypothesise that if you were to look closer you would find life can be difficult for white people as well as blacks. It's not a race thing it's an attraction thing. The most attractive people tend to be white, cos it's not just a case of physical attraction, but things like social status and class. A fat, ginger haired working class person would have difficulty getting a Foreign and Commonwealth Office job. A hansome, well connected public school educated black guy would find it easier. But the fact is more whites than blacks will fit these criteria; so at a simple glance it appears easier for whites than blacks. But society is prejudiced but not so simply prejudiced.
Forget blacks or white quotas, and concentrate on promoting people according to their merit.
| Not the Work Ethic but the Live Ethic get a life instead of just earning money | Why Humans shouldn't live in cities 1. You waste so much time traveling around
2. There's little opportunityfor bumping into the same people again and again

200 years ago you were 10 times more likely to be murdered than today
gin was heroin causing crime and decline etc and the problen was solved by ending prohibtion and eventually taxing it out of reach
| Too often we begin arguments anew, when we can find the answers in ancient literature.
