- I feel there is something FUNDAMENTALLY very wrong with our world, but I'm not sure what. One day I will work it all out I support no religion nor political party as none of them seem to be anywhere dealing with these fundamentals What difference does it make whether you walk or run along a road ... if you are going in the wrong direction What difference North, South, East or West when you could be moving up Maybe this world hurts me because it conflicts with what is naturally in my mind. It hurts me to see people live like robots, when there is no need for them to. Work Work Work ... down to the pub to get drunk (the life of normal people), even if they think they enjoy life I know they shouldn't. How do I explain this ? I know they could be doing much more It hurts me because of the conflict in my mind created when I think there is something wrong and the rest of the world doesn't. Yet I have to believe that I am right. In 1000 years time, we will live in a very different way Society is full of contradictions we waste time doing things we don't need to do. We use logic. But there is a lack of logic and purity in our decision making So many people do things which don't make sense. People seem to behave like robots as in the book Tripods We get distracted by the immediate and nevr get round to dealing with the fundamentals. I THINK IT'S SO IMPORTANT TO GET TO THE FUNDAMENTALS |
Humanity and perhaps the whole of the earth is all one organism I know I am unusual. BUT I KNOW YOU, I know what goes on in your mind , because you are the same as me. Inside yourself you are thinking also that something is wrong ...it's not as if I am special Capitalism and marketing has given us a distorted picture of the world Why do people take their girlfriends to the cinema instead of bed Maybe capitalism helps us focus and get thing done. But maybe we are wasting our time doing things we didn't need to do in the first place.We would all sit around thinking and no medicines or life support machines would ever get built. But I think the useless products account for 95% of labour Society's rules and conventions hold us back from being open and honest about it .. stifles the debate. We don't allow time to talk and proper intimacy we are perpetually afraid. Like in the total perspective vortex course we are afraid of reality we are so small compared to it. I am most guilty of being suspicious of people Travel brings enlightenment ..cos experience gives us context Society thinks it's so diverse, yet it seems to me it has become more and more narrower a one of a million possiblities we think our capitalism is the only way, competions with one winner the only way. We have thousands of years of wisdom but we don't make use of ittake a debate like capital punishment Thomas Moore made good arguments against it 500 years ago and someone else probably 1000 years before that, but we begin from scratchwhy I say the world is crazy - I wish I could travel like you -- people don't apply logic test to accepted values Information overload makes it difficult for us to Focus |
