- There was an interesting story on The Choice on BBC Radio 4 yesterday. There was Barbara Harris a woman that started to adopt the new babies of her drug addicted neighbour who already had 4 kids. After a number of years her charity work has evolved and now she runs a charity which pays drug addicted and alcoholic women to take long term contraception or sterilisation. Of course this is terribly controversial as it's close to eugenics especially since most of the addicts are black, but the outcome does appear to be better both for the addicts and their would be children. 100s of children that would have grown up in terrible lives just haven't been born. (her organisation, Project Prevention, has so far made payments to over 3,000 women.)

- The racism critics are silenced by the fact that the woman's own children are all half black as she married a black man and upto their deaths her racist parents wouln't speak to her.

- Drug use is a victimless crime ...but only if you don't have kids ..then users are negligent in caring for their kids . If uses don't stop taking drugs right after they get pregnant then they are child abusers .. So the state has the duy to step in and protect the kid...but surely it's better to prevent a crime before it happens ? So yes you are infringing a drug users human rights if you try to stop them get pregnant, but you are just stopping them commiting a certain crime. It should be a crime to have unprotected sex whilst addicted to drugs

- The latest thing in the States is a large poster Saying "Endangered species followed by a picture of a cute black baby ..."Then saying "Stop abortion now"
- cos statistically speaking a large proportion of aborted babies are black as black women are more likely to have unplanned pregnancies so the Anti-abortion mob are able to spin abortion as eugenics against black people .... I don't think it's actually really true that this means that the black abortion rate is so high that the black population is falling in real terms

- The American equivalent of George Soros said ...- Property prices in China are much more multiple of peoples salary. So vast amounts of apartment buildings are being built in China, but very few people can afford to buy them. So since buildings won't sell building will stop are raw expect material prices like steel will drop. Maybe by foreigners like my mate Russ moving into the Shanghai rental market it keeps it going a bit ... but seems it will reach a tipping point sometime

- Fake growth figures : He also poo pooed the joy about China reaching 10% growth figures year after year, explaining that cos the government controls everything like interest rates, it’s own spending etc. it’s easy to set a target and then achieve it every time, but it’s not the same as a true capitalist system where 10% growth is real 10% growth. (I already know not to trust any statistics from Asia as fae is more important than truth there)

- Another economist said Obama's big words on banks mean nothing cos banks have not been given money by the taxpayer in fact by taking ownership of banks the government will make more money than it paid. Indeed the Bank of England is making huge profits from all the temporary loans it makes to banks. It was a bit annoying that Obama's speech meant the next morning my banks shares were worth 20% less.

- When Hershal discovered Uranus was an amazing moment cos he was the first person to see it it means it wasn't in any existing holy books, but if these holy books were written by gods surely they would have already predicted Uranus's existance. But Galileo had already shown Jupiter had moons and the Moon had mountains.

- Brilliant scientist Lord Kelvin said there was a God cos by the laws of physics the sun could have only contain enough energy to burn for 10 million years so it couldn't be more than 10m years old, but he didn't know about radioactivity.

- Science completely changed our model of the world.
- The holy books didn't predict so many things nor did they say that slavery is wrong. If they were written by the gods it's funny the gods didn't know more than the men did at that time.

Someone has said that in the chapter after the Ten Commandments it does say it's illegal to own another man ..it's strange I have nevr heard it before.

- It's often said that the number zero was invented by someone in India
- Wrong , rather he invented "writing zero" i.e. decimal column notation i.e. Writing numbers in columns of tens, hundreds etc. Therefore he invented a system which made it easy to do calculations
-When Roman Numerals written it's difficult to add subtract just by looking .. Rather experts used an abicus.
-But when you write 2 numbers in decimal columns it's easy to add and subtract.
- He invented the notification system which makes calculations simple. (writing digits in columns)

- Surely an abicus forces decimal notation ?
